GCC Secretary-General Hosts Senior UN Official in Riyadh Meeting
RIYADH — Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi met with Nizar Jamal Haddad, the Food and Agriculture Organization’s program director in Saudi Arabia, at the General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh on Sunday.
The two officials discussed strengthening cooperation between the GCC and the FAO, including opportunities to exchange expertise and develop research partnerships that support the strategic goals of member states in agriculture and food security.
Al-Budaiwi praised the FAO’s efforts to support food security across Gulf countries through sustainable scientific solutions and technologies, as well as its commitment to building partnerships with regional and international organizations.
