Amanat, Dubai’s Luxury Hospitality group, Acquires UK Specialist care Company Cornerstone Healthcare

Amanat Holdings, the operator of healthcare and education enterprises listed on the Dubai Financial Market, has completed the acquisition of Cornerstone Healthcare Holdings, a UK specialist care provider, through its wholly owned subsidiary Cambridge Health Group (CHG).

The purchase values Cornerstone at an initial £71 million enterprise value with an additional £5 million in deferred performance related payments. This indicates a total potential enterprise value of Dh380 million, or £76m. Amanat noted that it financed the acquisition from internal resources and expected returns in excess of CHG’s investment hurdle rate.

The acquisition forms part of a growth strategy Amanat announced in July 2026, whereby it expects to deploy around Dh1.5 billion across its healthcare and education companies. It is looking for a minimum 10 per cent return on equity.

With Cornerstone, the deployment of capital that has been completed and committed is around Dh0.9 billion, or 60 per cent of the target.

We have completed and committed around Dh0.9 billion of our Dh1.5 billion capital deployment target, and are making tangible progress in executing this strategy,” said Dr Ali bin Harmal Aldhaheri, chairman of Amanat.

Cornerstone runs four speciality care homes with 283 beds in the South of England. They care for persons with complex dementia, neuro-progressive disorders, severe mental illness, acquired brain injury and neuro-rehabilitation needs. The organization works with NHS Integrated Care Boards and local authority commissioners.
