Sons Of The Gulf Are The Nation’s Hope And Foundation Mohammed Bin Rashid
The Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, stressed the deep solidarity of the people of the Arabian Gulf states, which is based on a common history, a vast territory, intertwined lineages and common goals. He underscored the necessity of building bridges and cooperation to preserve the Gulf’s unity and advance its prosperity. He said: “The sons of the Gulf are the real hope, the main pillar of the country.
In his letter, “A Message to the People of the Gulf”, His Highness speaks of our most treasured dream, our common history, enormous geography and profound links of kinship that we share. He referred to the one sea that unites us and the enormous desert that surrounds us, speaking to the Arabian Gulf, its inhabitants, the generations, the intellectuals and the philosophers.
By the grace of God we have graduated from simple towns to global cities, from humble fishing ports to international maritime trade hubs, from pearl diving to chasing the world’s largest investments, he said. “We have embraced modernity and globalization but have proudly kept a strong identity, unique culture and originality.
In just a few short years, the people of the Gulf have created wealth, built institutions, spanned continents, hosted major global events and provided the world with vital energy. More significantly, we have nourished our people, instilled profound love for our places and cultivated ideals of peace and tolerance for all who visit or join us on our journey. We are the hope of the nation, the focus of the nation and the motivation of the nation to regain its civilization, its power and its grandeur.
