Zelensky Demands Strong G7 Response After Latest Russian Strikes
KYIV — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on Monday for G7 leaders meeting at a summit in France to step up pressure on Moscow following a new wave of deadly Russian strikes on Ukraine.
“It is very important that there be a response from the G7 countries, which are now gathering for their summit — and that this response be decisive and substantive: more pressure on the aggressor and more support for Ukraine’s air defense, especially anti‑ballistic capabilities,” Zelensky said.
The appeal came as the G7 summit got underway, with Ukraine’s allies expected to discuss further military and economic aid. No details on the latest strikes were immediately released.
