RIYADH — Red Sea Global has announced the opening of Six Senses AMAALA in the Triple Bay area of the AMAALA resort on the Red Sea coast, with the property set to welcome its first guests from mid-July, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday.

The resort is the second collaboration between RSG and Six Senses, following the opening of Six Senses Southern Dunes in 2023. RSG Group CEO John Pagano said Six Senses has built a global reputation rooted in sustainability and local culture, making it a suitable partner for AMAALA.

The resort’s design is inspired by traditional coastal architecture in Saudi Arabia and integrates with the surrounding beaches, mangroves, and desert mountains. It features 100 suites and villas, along with 25 branded residences.

Wellness facilities include a spa with a health center, a biohacking-focused recovery lounge, a Watsu pool, a sound dome, and thermal facilities. The resort also offers three restaurants, a bakery, a coffee roastery, and a cooking school. At the centre of the resort is a mangrove lagoon supported by environmental initiatives, including Earth Lab and the Little Mangrove Explorer programme.

Guests will also have access to attractions including Corallium — the Marine Life Institute, the AMAALA Yacht Club, marine adventures, desert activities, shopping and dining.

Six additional resorts are expected to open at the destination during the year. When development of the Triple Bay area is complete, it is planned to include more than 1,600 hotel rooms across nine resorts. Red Sea Global is one of the largest giga-projects under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and aims to be a major attraction for international tourists as part of the plan to diversify the country’s economy away from oil.
