Global Healthcare Collaboration in Focus as SFDA CEO Participates in DIA Annual Meeting
PHILADELPHIA — Dr. Hisham Aljadhey, CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, took part in the Drug Information Association global annual meeting held in Philadelphia from June 14 to 18. The event brought together heads of regulatory authorities, global decision‑makers, and leading experts in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and regulatory sciences.
During a panel session, Dr. Aljadhey emphasized the importance of using advanced computing tools in regulatory workflows, noting that such technologies can significantly improve the evaluation of therapeutic innovations and speed up patient access while upholding strict quality and safety standards.
In a roundtable meeting, he engaged with executives from global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, along with regulatory counterparts from the US, the UK, Singapore, Japan, and Brazil. Discussions focused on strengthening partnerships in innovation and research, and exploring ways to leverage global expertise to boost the efficiency of Saudi Arabia’s pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and innovative treatment sectors.
