Slovenian Falcon Farm Records Unprecedented One-Day Bird Sale
A Slovenian falcon breeding farm made a striking debut at this year’s International Falcon Breeders Auction, selling all 23 of its falcons on the very first day of its participation.
Abdullah Al-Buainain, representing the Slovenian farm, said the falcons sold were pure gyrfalcons along with gyrfalcon hybrid breeds. He praised the National Center for Falcons for its efforts in supporting breeders and falconers throughout the event.
The rapid sell-out reflects strong demand for the auction and growing confidence among falconers and those interested in breeding or acquiring the birds. According to Al-Buainain, the farm’s experience illustrates how the auction has established itself as a trusted marketplace, connecting international breeders with falconers in an environment defined by organization and transparency.
The auction gives farms from around the world access to a wide pool of buyers, while offering falconers a diverse selection of breeds sourced from multiple countries — all gathered in a single location.
