Iranian Military Warns Gulf Countries Against Providing Support to US
Iran’s armed forces issued a stark warning to Gulf countries on Wednesday, cautioning them against offering any assistance to the US military amid rising regional tensions.
Armed forces chief of staff Ali Abdollahi said any support or facilitation extended to what Tehran described as “the aggressor US military” would be treated as direct participation in American military operations, according to Iran’s Mehr news agency.
The statement signals Tehran’s growing concern over the role neighboring Gulf states might play in supporting US actions in the region, as tensions between Iran and Washington continue to simmer.
