Houthi Media Reiterates Assaults on Saudi Arabia’s airspace, Aramco

The fate of the region hangs in the balance as the Houthis and Saudi Arabia continue to trade strikes, while US President Trump continues to threaten further strikes against Iran.

US President Donald Trump discussed with Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu when and whether to intensify combat operations against Iran, US media reported Sunday, citing AFP.

Two officials, one American and one Israeli, told Axios that the two leaders spoke on Saturday about where talks with the Islamic republic stand, with Netanyahu urging the president to strike Iran soon after the U.S. midterm elections, and Trump wanting to let discussions run their course.

The Israeli source described the call as “tough”, the American source told Axios, describing it as “direct”. The Houthi media reported Sunday that Saudi airstrikes hit Hodeidah, a strategic port controlled by the Houthis, as the organization clashes with a Saudi-led coalition that backs the internationally recognised government.Al-Masirah TV said: “The Saudi adversary has conducted two air strikes on Ras Issa port. Hodeidah, on the Red Sea, is the Houthis’ major port and a critical route for food and relief to territories controlled by the group. It is also utilised for oil import and storage.

The internationally acknowledged government are allies of Iran, who cautioned the US and Israel on Sunday not to re-start strikes on the Islamic republic after they threatened a return to war.
