WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook: What UAE Subscribers Need to Know
Meta has rolled out its new subscription service, Meta One, in the UAE, offering individuals, creators and businesses paid access to extra features across WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Meta’s assistant tools. The company says the core features people already use, along with Meta AI itself, will stay free for UAE residents, with subscriptions unlocking additional, more resource-intensive capabilities on top.
More than 50 features are available at launch, and Meta says it had already recorded 15 million subscriptions and trials as of Tuesday. The service spans Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI for now, with support for Edits and AI-enabled glasses planned to follow. Pricing and available features vary by region, app and account type.
Individual single-app plans start at 5.99 dirhams a month. WhatsApp Plus costs 5.99 dirhams, while Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus are priced at 7.99 dirhams each, adding perks like custom fonts for messages and stories, notifications when specific people view a story, message previews, Messenger customization, expanded reaction options, and chat backup and scheduling tools for WhatsApp, including a feature that mutes or hides chats on a set schedule.
For those wanting broader access, Meta offers two bundle tiers. Core, priced at 22.99 dirhams a month, includes all the single-app perks plus more frequent use of tools like Instagram’s Restyle feature, voice effects, and image and video generation through Meta’s Muse models. Premium, at 76.99 dirhams a month, includes everything in Core with substantially more room to generate content across Meta’s apps.
Creators and businesses get their own set of plans built around professional tools, starting with an Essential package at 46.99 dirhams a month, aimed at helping people build new audiences with round-the-clock customer response tools, a verified badge and impersonation protection. An Advanced tier at 119 dirhams a month adds features like scheduling posts up to 30 days ahead, exportable analytics, deeper audience insights and expanded team access without password sharing. Expert and Max tiers, starting at 359 and 1,199 dirhams a month respectively, offer Meta’s highest levels of feature access for teams operating at scale.
Across the creator and business tiers, new additions include enhanced profiles that highlight a person’s website, location and reviews, a bolder follow button on Reels, automatic follow invitations for engaged users, and an upgraded version of Meta’s Business Agent for handling customer communication. Meta says the goal is to help creators spend more time creating and less time guessing, while continuing to add tools aimed at supporting marketing, operations and content creation for small businesses over time.
