Iranian Official Appeals to Qatar Over Health of Detained Pilots
An Iranian military official appealed to Qatar on Saturday to transfer detained Iranian pilots to a hospital on land, saying the men were being held on water and were in poor physical condition, according to Tasnim news agency.
Mohammad Baqerzadeh, commander of the Committee for the Search for Missing Persons of Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff, said the current location where the pilots are being held is unsuitable for their condition. He called on the International Committee of the Red Cross to send an air ambulance to Qatar to help expedite the return of injured and sick detainees to Iran.
