Rosewood AMAALA Opens Its Doors, Expanding Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Luxury Tourism
Red Sea Global has opened Rosewood AMAALA, the third luxury resort to begin operations at the Kingdom’s flagship wellness destination on Saudi Arabia’s northwestern Red Sea coast, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The 110-key resort sits at AMAALA’s Triple Bay and follows this year’s openings of Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA and Six Senses AMAALA, marking another milestone in Red Sea Global’s phased rollout of the destination as a global hub for luxury, wellness, and regenerative tourism.
Red Sea Global Group CEO John Pagano said Rosewood AMAALA reinforces the destination’s position as a world-class wellness hub by combining Rosewood’s signature luxury hospitality with personalized wellbeing experiences, expanding the range of restorative and immersive stays available along the coast.
Spanning roughly 40 hectares, the resort was designed by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel to blend naturally into the surrounding Red Sea landscape and the mountains of Tabuk. The low-density property features pavilions, suites, and villas — many with private pools — alongside shared swimming areas, indoor-outdoor living spaces, and two natural rock pools along the coastline.
Wellness offerings include a 2,100-square-meter spa with six treatment rooms, a double suite, sauna, and steam facilities, plus two fitness centers equipped with Technogym Artis equipment and dedicated yoga and movement studios. Guests can choose from eight dining venues spanning Mediterranean and grill concepts to lounges and poolside outlets, while families can take advantage of the Rosewood Explorers children’s club.
The adjacent Rosewood Residences AMAALA offers 26 branded residences, including three- to five-bedroom villas with interiors designed by Tristan Auer. In line with the broader AMAALA development, Rosewood AMAALA runs entirely on solar power, part of Red Sea Global’s goal to achieve a 30 percent net conservation gain across the destination by 2040.
The opening builds on a series of recent milestones at Triple Bay, following the June debut of Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA — which introduced 202 rooms, suites, villas, and garden accommodations — and the July opening of Six Senses AMAALA, a 100-suite and villa beachfront resort with 25 branded residences and extensive wellness facilities focused on longevity and recovery.
Triple Bay is expected to eventually house more than 1,600 hotel rooms across nine resorts, along with branded residences, wellness facilities, yacht marinas, and luxury retail and dining options. The wider destination also includes the AMAALA Yacht Club and Corallium, a marine life experiential institute. Five additional resorts are expected to open in the coming months as Red Sea Global continues developing AMAALA under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 tourism strategy.
