Makkah Route Initiative Advances as SDAIA Reviews AI Preparedness
RIYADH — The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) held a virtual meeting to assess the technical and engineering readiness of its teams participating in the Ministry of Interior’s Makkah Route Initiative.
Now in its eighth year, the Vision 2030 program operates across 17 entry points in 10 countries to streamline Hajj pilgrims’ arrival. SDAIA President Dr. Abdullah Alghamdi reviewed digital infrastructure, systems, and workstations designed to process pilgrim entries at international terminals.
Teams from each participating country demonstrated monitoring mechanisms and technical support protocols, ensuring fast integration with relevant authorities for a smooth registration process.
