Saudi Health Center in Hajjah Provides Medical Care to 6,200 People in November
In the heart of Yemen’s Hajjah governorate, where the shadows of hardship and conflict loom long, a vital hub of healing continues its quiet, relentless work. The Emergency Center for Epidemic Disease Control in the Hayran district, supported by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, stands as a testament to the power of sustained humanitarian commitment.
Throughout November, this facility was more than just a clinic; it was a lifeline. The numbers tell a story of profound need met with dedicated service:
- 6,237 individuals received medical care.
- 1,895 children found treatment at the pediatric clinic.
- 1,463 patients were seen in internal medicine.
- 2,879 beneficiaries accessed the specialized epidemiology clinic.
Beyond these consultations, the center’s support system ensured comprehensive care. The laboratory department conducted crucial tests for 1,396 patients, while prescriptions and medications were dispensed to 6,102 people. For cases requiring advanced attention, the medical referral system acted as a critical pathway, facilitating care for 2,146 beneficiaries. Furthermore, the center’s commitment to public health and safety was underscored by its 19 separate medical waste disposal activities, protecting both patients and the wider community.
These figures are not mere statistics. They represent thousands of stories—a child treated for infection, a parent receiving care for chronic illness, a family protected from the outbreak of disease. Each number is a moment of relief in a region where such moments are precious.
The support from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center enables this mission, reflecting a deep-seated dedication to alleviating suffering and upholding the health and dignity of the Yemeni people. In a landscape often defined by scarcity, this center in Hayran district provides an indispensable service, offering not just medicine, but hope.
It is a clear reminder that even amidst immense challenge, humanity and healing persist, one patient at a time.
