Saudi entrepreneur and explorer Badr Al-Shibani has achieved a significant international recognition, being elected as an international member of The Explorers Club, one of the world’s most esteemed exploration organizations.

Founded in New York in 1904, The Explorers Club stands as a beacon for exploration and field research. Its membership includes renowned scientists, explorers, and astronauts who have advanced human knowledge of Earth and beyond. Al-Shibani’s election reflects the rising prominence of Saudi explorers in global exploration circles.
Extraordinary Achievements
Al-Shibani’s credentials are remarkable. He completed the Seven Summits challenge, conquering the highest peak on each continent, including Mount Everest. His expeditions span diverse and extreme environments—from high-altitude mountains to polar regions, active volcanoes, and underground caves.
Among his most notable undertakings is crossing the Rub’ Al-Khali, also known as the Empty Quarter, one of the world’s largest continuous sand deserts, on foot. He has also conducted polar expeditions on foot in Antarctica, documenting both environmental conditions and human resilience in one of Earth’s harshest climates.
