Riyadh Celebrates Pakistani Culture and Heritage with Grand Festivities

RIYADH — The vibrant colors, sounds, and traditions of Pakistan filled the Saudi capital over the weekend as part of the Global Harmony 2 initiative, celebrating the Kingdom’s rich cultural diversity through a dedicated showcase of Pakistani heritage.

Launched by the Ministry of Media in collaboration with the General Entertainment Authority, the event series invites residents of all nationalities to experience Pakistani culture firsthand. From Saturday through Monday, attendees can enjoy cultural performances, interactive presentations, celebratory parades, and heritage booths displaying traditional clothing, handicrafts, and culinary arts.

The opening day featured lively folk performances and an engaging presentation by students from a Pakistani school in the Kingdom, offering insight into the community’s traditions and contemporary life in Saudi Arabia.

The initiative highlights 14 world cultures throughout its run, emphasizing the seamless integration of expatriate communities within Saudi society and promoting mutual cultural exchange. By showcasing the lives, arts, and customs of its residents, the Kingdom reaffirms its role as a global crossroads and a welcoming hub for cultural creativity.
