New Ambassadors from Portugal and Thailand Arrive in Saudi Arabia
RIYADH — Saudi Arabia received the newly appointed ambassadors of Portugal and Thailand in Riyadh on Thursday, as both diplomats formally began their postings in the Kingdom.
Saudi Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic and Development Affairs Abdullah bin Zarah met with Luisa Fragoso, Portugal’s new ambassador to the Kingdom. Fragoso also held talks on Wednesday with Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, the deputy minister for international multilateral affairs. Both Saudi officials wished her success in her new role.
Separately, Deputy Minister for Protocol Affairs Ambassador Abdulmajeed Al-Smari received a copy of the credentials of Pongprach Makchang, Thailand’s newly appointed ambassador. Al-Smari received the documents on behalf of Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan.
