Japan Denounces Attacks on Saudi Energy Sites, Offers Condolences to Victims
RIYADH — The Embassy of Japan in Saudi Arabia has condemned the recent attacks on the Kingdom’s energy facilities, which killed one Saudi national working for an energy company and injured seven others.
In a statement, the embassy expressed “deepest condolences to the family of the deceased person and sincere sympathies to those injured.” Japan also deplored that the attacks damaged important energy infrastructure and warned they could add negative pressure to an already strained global energy market.
The embassy appealed that “such attacks on civilian energy facilities should never be repeated by any party.” The strikes disrupted operational activities at key facilities within the energy sector.
