Forty Scouts Complete the Advanced Wood Badge Training

RIYADH: After an average of 27 hours of theoretical and practical instruction, 40 scouts from different branches of the Saudi Arabian Boy Scout Association finished the advanced Wood Badge course. The Masar Development Association in Al-Ahsa organized the course, which covered leadership concepts, patterns, and theories in addition to the role, responsibilities, obligations, and needs of the scout unit leader and techniques and resources for training boys.

Public relations, scouting and the development of boys, problem-solving strategies, youth involvement in decision-making, planning strategies, tools and procedures, the idea, scouting styles and theories, resource development, and protection from damage were all covered.

Planning and carrying out outdoor excursions was also covered in the training, along with techniques for navigation, tent setup, hidden signs, codes, map drawing, estimations, outdoor cooking, organized hiking, and report writing.
